Our activities
At the turn of November and December we once again had the opportunity to actively participate in the SSC/BPO+ Week organised by the Investor Support Office of the City of Poznań. This is an event aimed at secondary school students and companies operating in the modern services sector.
Modern business services are one of the fastest growing industries in Poland. SSC/BPO centres already employ more than 450,000 people in the country, and Poznań is one of the key centres in this area. There are 156 centres in the city, employing around 30,000 people. Working in an international environment and having access to the latest technologies makes this sector an attractive career path.
The aim of SSC/BPO+ Week is to encourage students to take up studies in fields related to economics and information technology as well as to develop their foreign language skills. It is also important to raise awareness of the need to complement school knowledge with practical work skills, which are key in today's labour market.
During a visit to our Poznań office, students from the Zespół Szkół Komunikacji had the opportunity to see what it is like to work in IT-related areas and take a look at issues such as Data Innovation and Data Intelligence, SAS Data Quality - regular expressions. There was also a large dose of knowledge about ICT networks, database server administration and reporting.
